BiB - Ariel in Puppet on a String
In this series I wanted Ariel to be controlled like a puppet on a string, with ropes on her arms and legs that led upward and could be pulled by me to control her movements.
To further limit her movements, I wanted to immobilize her knees and elbows by adding poles along her arms and legs. With a jumpsuit on top those poles would be automatically held parallel to her arms and legs. I chose a denim jumpsuit for her to wear, but unluckily its torso wasn't long enough and Ariel couldn't put it on. My selection of long armed and legged jumpsuits was limited, so in the end we fell back to a sleeper (brand: CrossHatch), but since that one was large and a bit stretchy, the restriction wasn't as limiting as I hoped. It still worked pretty well though.
The first step was putting the poles along her arms and legs. I used hollow pipes of the right lengths, with a chain running though them to connect the pipes to each other and to her ankle/wrist cuffs. To keep them better in place, and add to the restrictiveness, I used a belt to keep the top of the leg chain close to her waist, and a collar to keep the arm chain close to her neck.

Once the chains were fitted in place, it was time to put on the sleeper. Ariel needed to sit down to get her legs in its legs, but not being able to bend her knees much, she used the arm rest of the couch. After the legs were in place the arms were easy, though of course she needed help, as with pulling the zipper all the way up.

Then it was finally time for the puppet ropes, which I ran through a loop in the ceiling and then back down to my hands. Then I could control the movement of her arms, and her legs somewhat: she still needed to find her balance since the construction wasn't meant to bear her weight.
